Character Study:

Hailing from Warmill Da Capo of Ultra Soft Angora, Governor Gold is a self-proclaimed genius and a naturally greasy individual. A constant presence at lavish parties and known to sport his gold tuxedo to casual dinner parties, he flaunts his wealth without shame. Although there is a general bad taste in the community concerning the Governor, Gold’s riches erase any obstacles in his way. He is constantly acquiring more power and will gladly speak at long lengths on his accomplishments to anyone and everyone. His favorite topics of conversation are his extensive vocabulary, stocks and bonds, and past business ventures. Conversations are typically quite one-sided and he will fill any silence with his opinions that he presents as facts. It is dangerous indeed to cross him, and it takes a brave soul to criticize or question anything he says. In his younger years, he attended every formal event with the lovely Starlight on his arm. They glimmered in gems and endless yards of gold fabric while mingling with the elite. Rumor has it, they were secretly wed prior to her debut as a starlet of the silver-screen. It is believed he was a driving force behind her rise to fame, and subsequent fall. Allegedly, after an extravagant trip on his yacht to visit his overseas connections to discuss a business merger, they split and have not been seen together since.
